THE last round of the season saw Yea at home against Seymour.
After big numbers at training this week the coach and team were fired up to make the last game the best. Yea’s first quarter was their best of the season.
They played aggressively and defensively and managed to keep the ball in the forward the majority of the time.
A fabulous mark in the goal square by Hunter followed by a goal got the crowd up on their feet and the players feeling confident leading into the second quarter.
Seymour headed into the second quarter a little more prepared for Yea’s defensive play and kicked two goals and two behinds, ending the first half in front by seven points.
Yea restricted Seymour to only four goals in the second half, a vast improvement on the last time they met. The win went to….

WHAT a final round for the Yea Tigers under 16s. They played at home against Broadford, and for the first time this season, they had their entire team. With all the boys there, they showed what they were capable of.
Both teams came out firing with Yea dominating the play. But they only managed to score four points for the opening quarter.
In the second quarter, Broadford scored the first goal for the game before Yea promptly replied, kicking three goals.
In the second half of the game the Tigers only got stronger dominating the play in what was a good clean game of football.
