Upgrades on the way for Rosebank Hostel

MEMBER for Indi Helen Haines has welcomed $268,602 in funding for Rosebank Hostel in round two of the Aged Care Capital Assistance Program.

The funding will enable the service to refurbish 25 resident rooms, common areas and hallways, as well as purchase mobility equipment.

Dr Haines said capital assistance funding was vital to the safety and sustainability of regional aged care services.
“I was delighted to provide a letter of support for Yea and District Memorial Hospital for their funding application and even more delighted to receive the news that they were successful.

“This refurbishment will enable Rosebank Hostel to create a more homelike, comfortable and functional environment and I saw this first-hand when I met with the CEO on a recent visit.”

Dr Haines said aged care services like the one provided by Yea and District Memorial Hospital rely on government support for capital upgrades.
