PAMELA Thompson visited the Alexandra Library last week to celebrate the publication of her first children’s picture book, ‘The Art of Body Bits’.

A crowd gathered to see her new book, and Pamela talked about the road to publication, which was quite a challenge, and thanked everyone for coming. Tea and snacks were served for those in attendance.

The book tells the story of a young boy who collects random items, particularly ‘body bits’ like leftover hair, etcetera.

Pamela explained that the premise for the book was inspired by her brother, and his habit of collecting random things in his pockets.

‘The Art of Body Bits’ has been published by Austin Macauley Publishers in London, who told Pamela that her “work was found to be hugely entertaining, amusing read, perfectly suited for a young audience.
