Kellock Lodge residents enjoy armchair travel to France

ON Wednesday, July 24, the residents of Kellock Lodge enjoyed their major annual armchair travel event, this year to France.

Residents and staff put in a mighty effort to transform the main dining room with decorations including the Notre Dame cathedral, a French patisserie, the Arc de Triomphe, and many Eiffel towers.

Residents and lifestyle staff made table decorations, placemats, wall pictures, and of course they had to have can-can girls from the Moulin Rouge. They looked great on the windows.

Kellock are fortunate to have a French resident who, as a bonus, sang the French national anthem several times (Bonjour Estelle).

Kellock’s new chef developed a fabulous menu. There was a mini leek and goats cheese tart, seafood bouillabaisse served with baguette, bourguignon beef cheeks with ratatouille, butter potato puree, grilled asparagus and flaked almonds, and a fine dessert of crepes with grand marnier or berry compote.
