Awards for junior sport stars

LAST Sunday the Goulburn Murray Junior League held its presentation function in Shepparton for all grades of junior football and netball across the Seymour and Shepparton junior competitions.

A number of Alexandra players were invited to attend the event, and the club achieved the following outcomes:

Under 11 Netball

Zoe Coller: Runners Up Best and Fairest, 23 Votes
Fourth place: Jayde Stewart, 15 Votes
Fifth place: Ruby Bermingham, 13 Votes

Under 13 Netball

Fifth place: Tilly Miljkovic, 17 Votes

Under 15 Netball

Marli Coller: Runners Up Best and Fairest, 15 Votes
Fourth place: Ava Krijt and Ashlyn Newman, 13 Votes

Under 14 Football
Fifth place: Jaiden Dimech

Congratulations to all of the players for the recognition of their respective seasons. Well done to all players, coaches, support staff, sponsors and supporters on a fantastic 2024 season.

The club Junior Presentation function is at the club rooms on Sunday, October 6 starting at noon. If you would like to sponsor any trophies and medallions for the junior teams, please contact Ray Steyger on 5772 2627.

Senior Netball

Last Sunday, the D grade netballers played Yarra Glen in an Elimination First Semi Final at Yarra Glen but lost 18 to 26 so the team concludes their season, well done to coach Ellie Hedger, support staff and players on a great season.
