THE Yea Probus Club always celebrates the iconic Victorian Racing Oaks Day, not only because the meeting usually falls on Oaks Day each year, but because they have ‘Race Caller’ extraordinaire Gary Tuck running the Yea Probus Cup with a Million Dollar Prize to the Winner.
Members dress for the occasion in their Cup finery and create a lovely atmosphere as everyone admires all the outfits and gorgeous and creative fascinators. The morning tea included chicken nibbles but didn’t include champagne this year. The club tried champagne for morning tea last year and it wasn’t a great success.
