Yea Tigers 29 defeated Broadford Roos 25

by Joanne Madden

THE under 15 Tigers headed into the first-round qualifying final having secured second spot on the ladder.

Unfortunately percentage prevented them from achieving the minor premiership. The Tigers had lost twice earlier in the year against the Roos but when the full team was available towards the end of the year they were able to get those two wins back against them.

Having most recently beaten the Roos, Yea knew that they would be coming in strong, hoping to get back a win against the Tigers. The Tigers were determined to show that their last two wins weren’t just luck.

Lily took to the court as wing defence to support Sienna and Flynn in defence. The Roos came out stronger in this quarter but the Tigers managed to hold their nerve and it was goal for goal throughout this term.

The Tigers managed to preserve their lead going into half time with scores….
