ALEXANDRA District Health (ADH) held their NAIDOC week celebrations last Friday, with the presentation of a new commissioned artwork by Taungurung Elder, Aunty Joanne Honeysett.

The artwork represents the ADH health service as the centre, with all the local communities surrounding it and the lines drawn between the circles showing their journey to get to ADH.

Presentations were made by ADH CEO, Jane Poxon, ADH Director of Quality and Risk and the person who organised the commission, Natasha Bowater, and Aunty Joanne Honeysett, who welcomed the assembled locals to Country.

Following the presentation, the assembled crowd enjoyed a morning tea and a chat.

In the west of the shire, Rosebank aged care held their own afternoon tea to celebrate NAIDOC week.

Director of Clinical Operations, Daniel Olivieri, gave a speech to the residents about NAIDOC week, and then…
