SIXTEEN members fronted up to contest a par event on Wednesday despite the frost, fog, and winter chill. Nine Ladies competed with Vicki Clements (26) registering minus three to take home top honours.

Meryl Connell (25) and Cindy Armstrong (33) were next best with minus five.

Seven men teed up in the inaugural Polar Bear Par Cup, sponsored by Bundy Rum. Martin Lowe (19) collected “The Polar Bear” after surviving a countback from Chris Keogh (40) after they both finished on minus five.

Rob O’Halloran (21) and Phil Armstrong (21) were next best with minus six. Greg Clements (17) was a clear winner in the club award when he registered minus 11.

There were no winners in the nearest the pin on the second for either the ladies or men.
