FIFTY guests attended the inaugural High Tea in Eildon event, which was held in the beautiful gardens of Morning Mist on a perfect autumn afternoon with blue skies and sunshine.
This was in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Australia’s leading not-for-profit organisation funding world-class breast cancer research towards a vision of zero deaths from breast cancer.
Since the inception in 1994, NBCF has invested around $200M into more than 600 world-class research projects across Australia.
There is still work to do.
Presently, over 3200 people will lose their lives this year.
Nine plus Australians will die every day and over 57 are diagnosed daily.
When you support NBCF, you’re supporting targeted breast cancer research across the spectrum.
There are many ways to become involved, this is just one.
Cindy McLeish, MP for Eildon, attended the event in support of this worthy cause.
There was a fabulous variety of delicious treats both savoury and sweet for guests to enjoy.
Everyone took advantage of the perfect weather and had a stroll around the gardens.
As this was a new venture, the numbers were capped at 50.
Tickets sold out as soon as the event was mentioned, and there was no need to advertise.
Events like this do not just happen.
There is a lot of thought and planning to ensure everything runs perfectly.
The tables were beautifully set with handmade tablecloths and napkins, which ticks the Murrindindi Shire waste policy of reuse, reduce, recycle.
