Large turnout at Limestone community unveiling

MORE than 100 past and present residents and friends of Limestone attended the unveiling of information boards setting out the history of the Limestone Community.

Locals observed that this was the largest gathering in Limestone for many decades.

The community event was held at the Limestone CFA Fire station on Sunday, March 24.

Three information boards were unveiled on the day. Also on display were four place signs marking the past location of the Cheviot State School, the Cheviot Presbyterian Church, the Limestone Hall and the Limestone Cricket Ground.
