Telstra were contacted about the Telstra outage on Monday, November 22.
Telstra Regional General Manager Jenny Gray said, “We are upgrading our mobile base station at Alexandra to deliver more capacity and faster data speeds to the town and other nearby communities. This will allow faster downloads as well as better streaming, video calls, gaming and remote working.

“Residents can continue to make and take calls with their mobile at home or work by using their nbn connection to access Wi-Fi calling. This is a free setting on most popular mobile phones and allows your mobile to call using a Wi-Fi network.
“We also encourage business owners talk to their bank about connecting their EFTPOS terminals to their nbn or Wi-Fi connection to prevent delays in processing transactions.”
